This Is How to Recognize, Define & Verbalize
Abusive Behavior
Hi Love!
Have you ever heard of the saying, “If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck”?
The reason I bring this up is because so many times women who have been verbally or emotionally abused during their marriage don’t recognize the signs and symptoms of abuse. I was one of those women, who even after the divorce, rationalized my ex-husband's behavior down to “we just grew apart”.
Uhh, NO….we didn’t just grow apart….he just grew more abusive!
It’s important to call a duck a duck because if a woman doesn't describe this behavior for what it REALLY is, she is denying herself the opportunity to validate her own experience. This in turn will make it difficult for her to get the appropriate support that she needs.
Telling a therapist that you and your spouse “grew apart” is a totally different conversation than “he was abusive and I couldn’t take it anymore”.
This is the reason that you must be able to recognize, define, and verbalize your experience with the correct language. This will be the beginning of you unpacking your own experience to reclaim your power.
In this week’s video you will learn to:
🔍 Unveil the Secret: Discover why recognizing and naming your pain is the first step toward healing.
🔥 Decode Your Experience: Understand how to define and express your emotions to create a roadmap for overcoming past trauma.
🚩 Spot Red Flags: Learn how this knowledge can empower you to spot warning signs and set firm boundaries for a brighter future.
This is one of the many topics I will discuss in my upcoming course, Thrive Beyond Divorce: Empowering Women to Recover, Rediscover, and Reinvent After Divorce (coming soon!)

WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR TIME EXPENSIVE WITH TIME RESTRICTED BOUNDARIES Hi Beautiful, Did you know that you are super rich? Well, you are in terms of time. Your time is the most expensive asset you have because it's finite, meaning you can't make more of it. You can always make more money but you can't make more time. And what you do in the time you have dictates your life's results. This is why you must protect your time, at all costs. If you waste even one minute of your time on chaos,...
PHYSICAL TOUCH BOUNDARIES - WHY YOU NEED THEM AND HOW TO VERBALIZE Hi Gorgeous, Of all the boundary violations that I have ever experienced, the physical touch boundary violation is by far the creepiest. When I say physical touch violation I'm not just talking about sexual assault. I'm talking about all the times people hugged you without your permission or when people stood too close for comfort and refused to give you space. Personal touch and proximity boundary violations can seem harmless...
